It is a shame that the FDA is as restrictive as it is. I would believe the hype that it was out to help us poor Americans, but clearly this isn't the case. Why do I say this? Well just recently you may recall on the news about American toddlers dying from various over-the-counter cold medicine that was administered by their own mothers. Mom was trying to help per advice from her doctor, by giving her child FDA approved over-the-counter drugs, and in the end, the child was dying inside.
The FDA suddenly found the drugs "unsafe" for kids and disbanded children from taking them. What is the point of the FDA, if we have to wait for kids to die before they can act? Seems to me they are restrictive where they don't necessarily need to be, and lax in crucial area, such as kids. As a dad, this worries me greatly, as you can imagine!
